A build needs its own key. Without one, nothing here that costs money runs.

How big Imagine asks for. Only takes effect for an image model that lives behind OpenRouter's images-generations door (the editing-model catalogue, not the chat one) — on any other model this is silently unused rather than failing, and Imagine still works. Blank uses My Factory's own default (Account → Preferences).
Models a persona's LISTEN (audio) / WATCH (video) tools cast to. Blank = a multimodal default. Each must be input-capable for that medium.
A persona = a name + a system prompt (who they are, how they talk) + a model. Bind a tile's On click → Chat with a persona to talk to them on your live site. The prompt stays on the server, never sent to visitors. The chat-menu max caps how many personas a member can seat in the compose-bar dropdown (members choose which, their own included).
How many of this build's characters may be working autonomously at the same moment — the cost dial. Any others that come due simply wait for the next check; nothing is dropped and nothing queues up. Each member can set a lower number for their own characters.
components.json says each piece is worth to a new build's members; touch it and this build keeps its own list from then on.Write characters any persona can play — a costume, not a self. A persona wears one when the user asks (“play the innkeeper”) and enacts its own reading of the part.
Every model here answers the same task, at once. Which answer is kept is decided by running it, not by asking a model — so a wider panel only ever improves coverage.
This is My Factory's own key — it overrides the shared OPENROUTER_API_KEY. Individual builds can still set their own key (SITE panel), which takes priority for that build.
For the one thing the main provider cannot do: masking. Its image models redraw the whole picture and only ask to leave the rest alone; with a mask, the pixels outside your rectangle are not the model’s to touch. Only Rerender uses this, and only when a job asks for a mask.
Forgie and Rerender are the only things in My Factory that spend a model, so these are the only model settings that belong here. The Video model above is the fallback for GENERATING a clip. Image and Lettering are the fallback for pictures and lettering — the last one is a language model, because an image model cannot spell, so text that has to be readable is written as shapes and drawn. Blank means the built-in. A build’s own default is on its SITE page; a persona or character that names its own model still wins over both.
How big a generated picture is asked to come back, wherever My Factory can ask for one: Rerender's redraw/place-a-picture fills, and a build's Imagine when its image model happens to live behind the same door. Bigger can be slower and pricier, and not every model honors every size — each option says so. A run in Rerender can pick a different size for just that run.
